Private Agreement Preparation
You know what you’ve agreed. I’ll put it in writing.
I prepare one private agreement for a man or woman who already has a settled arrangement and needs it written down clearly.
A standalone service, outside the Privatepreneur Path.
If you already have a settled arrangement, I read the facts, prepare the agreement myself, and review it against those facts before it goes anywhere. Nothing here is generated, templated or handed to someone else. If it isn’t settled enough to write down truthfully, I’ll tell you that rather than write it anyway.
- Agreement Preparation: $125
- Kyle Review: + $175
- Agreement Preparation + Kyle Review: $300
Nothing is payable until I’ve reviewed what you send me, confirmed that I can prepare your agreement, and told you the compensation.
When this is the right fit
This fits when you already know:
- who’s involved;
- what each side provides;
- what’s exchanged;
- when it begins;
- how it can end.
You may need Blueprint and Design first when
- you’re still working out how the work itself should operate;
- the ownership, control, responsibility or payment pieces don’t yet agree with each other;
- there’s a whole set of relationships to settle rather than one.
You don’t need to know how to write the agreement. That’s my part. But sometimes the agreement isn’t the real question, and the arrangement underneath it still needs designing. When that’s the case, we do that first.
If the arrangement itself isn’t settled yet, start with what is private business? or Blueprint and Design, where an operation is designed rather than documented. For the wider subject, read private agreements for entrepreneurs.
What you get
I do this work myself. I read what you send me, decide whether the arrangement is settled enough to document truthfully, prepare the agreement from your facts, and read it back against those facts before it goes to you.
- Your private agreement
- One agreement for one settled arrangement, written from your facts.
- A record of what you told me
- Including anything still unknown or undecided, recorded rather than filled in for you.
- A checklist to confirm the facts
- So you can check the agreement against what you told me before you use it.
- Instructions for completing and autographing it
- How to finish the agreement, record acceptance, and keep what each party should hold.
- A delivery record
- Identifying the agreement, its permanent identifier and its version.
- My review before it goes out
- Every released agreement receives this review. It is included with every agreement and is never charged.
Kyle Review
Kyle Review is more of my time. It isn’t the first time I look at your agreement: I’ve already read the facts, prepared it myself and reviewed it against those facts before you see it, either way.
What you’re adding is about half an hour together, going through the finished agreement line by line. I explain it in plain English, confirm it reflects the arrangement you settled, and revise it if it needs revising.
What I can prepare
Most settled arrangements that fit this service are one of these six.
Pick whichever is closest to what you’ve already decided. What it turns out to be follows the facts you give me, not the box you ticked.
Straightforward service agreement
One party performs defined work for another for defined compensation.
Recurring-service agreement
The same defined work performed on a defined schedule, with recurring compensation.
Private sale or exchange of goods or personal property
A transfer of goods or personal property between identified parties.
Confidentiality agreement tied to a real relationship
Limits on the use of information exchanged within an actual, defined relationship.
Simple permission-to-use agreement for personal property or information
Specific permission to use specific personal property or specific information.
Discrete amendment when the governing agreement is supplied
A discrete change to specific provisions of an agreement you already have.
Don’t see your arrangement?
Ask for a Custom Agreement. It’s for one settled arrangement that doesn’t fit a listed type, and it may be one-time or recurring.
Choosing Custom does not by itself mean I can take it on, and it sets aside nothing. Whether I can depends on the actual facts and how complicated they are. If it fits a listed type, I prepare it as that type with that type’s requirements in full, and your original choice stays on the record.
Where the arrangement isn’t settled, needs structuring, or depends on several others, it goes to Blueprint and Design first.
Private Agreement Essentials is included, and recommended
Essentials is a short orientation, about 10 to 15 minutes, included with no separate charge and recommended if private agreements are new to you. It covers what a private agreement can and can’t do, and which facts need to be settled before anything can be prepared.
It is recommended, and it is not a qualification. Nothing about it decides whether you may use the service, and what can stop the work is the facts. Where they aren’t settled enough to write down truthfully, that’s the reason you’ll be given, never a skipped lesson.
You don’t need to complete Private Work Fundamentals first. Essentials isn’t a substitute for it either, and neither one moves you along the Privatepreneur Path.
You remain responsible for the facts, the decisions, acceptance, autographing, and how the agreement is used.
How it works
Nothing is payable until I’ve read your facts, decided whether I can prepare your agreement, and told you the scope and the compensation.
Tell me what you’ve agreed
You give me the facts and anything already written down: an existing agreement, an exchange of messages, notes, whatever exists.
I review the facts
I decide whether the arrangement is settled enough to document truthfully, and I confirm the scope and the compensation before anything is payable. If it isn’t settled enough, I tell you that and why.
I write your agreement
I write it myself from your facts, then read it back against those facts before it goes anywhere.
You receive it
With instructions for completing it, recording acceptance and keeping the records behind it. If you added Kyle Review, the private walk-through happens after I’ve prepared it.
Private Agreement Essentials is included and available before you begin. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes, and I recommend it if private agreements are new to you.
You can stop any time before you pay, and you won’t owe anything.
I prepare each agreement myself, so there’s no instant download and nothing is generated automatically. I won’t promise a delivery date unless it’s part of the scope you accepted.
Collecting the facts before payment means fewer agreements stop afterwards. It doesn’t mean none do. New, changed, withheld or contradictory facts can still stop the work after you’ve paid, and paying doesn’t make something work that didn’t.
A private agreement follows the real arrangement.
A private agreement should record what the parties genuinely intend and carry on. Private wording by itself doesn’t change the character of a relationship.
If the arrangement underneath still needs to be designed, I’ll tell you. That may mean working through Blueprint and Design before we try to put anything into an agreement.
The agreement also can’t promise a particular tax, statutory, liability, enforcement, or outside-party result. My job here is to help you put a settled arrangement into clear words and records you can actually understand and use.
Kyle Review is a personal review for clarity and completeness. It isn’t attorney review, a legal opinion, a certification, or validation of enforceability, and it doesn’t guarantee enforceability or how an outside party or public system will treat the arrangement.
Privatepreneur’s work is educational, informational, strategic, documentary, and operational. It is not legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, or financial advice.
Compensation
One private agreement for one settled arrangement.
Nothing is payable until I’ve reviewed what you provided, confirmed the agreement fits this service, and told you the scope.
Some custom arrangements need wording the standard types don’t cover. If yours does, Kyle’s review is required rather than optional, and the total is $300. I determine that before any payment is taken, and I tell you before you pay.
I prepare and review every agreement myself before it goes out, whether or not you add anything, and that is never charged separately. Kyle Review is a separate, deeper personal review on top of it: a private call of about half an hour going through the finished agreement together, in plain English, confirming it reflects what you settled, and revising it if it needs revising.
Making the agreement reflect what you settled is part of the work. Materially changing the arrangement itself is a different piece of work, and we’d talk about scope before starting it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Private Work Fundamentals first?
- No, you don’t need to complete Private Work Fundamentals first. Private Agreement Essentials is included here instead, and it takes about 10 to 15 minutes. This service stands on its own and doesn’t move you along the Privatepreneur Path, which runs Blueprint and Design, Implementation, and Stewardship after the free Orientation. Private Work Fundamentals is optional learning alongside that journey.
When do I pay?
- After I’ve read your facts, decided I can prepare your agreement, and told you what it covers and what it costs. Not before. You can leave any time before that and you won’t owe anything.
What if something changes after we start?
- If I haven’t started writing yet and it can’t go ahead, you get your compensation back. Once I’ve started, changing the arrangement underneath is a different piece of work and we’d talk about that first. If I get something wrong, or the draft doesn’t follow the facts you gave me, I fix it and you don’t pay again. The full policy is there to read before you agree to anything, and it governs.
Privatepreneur provides education, strategy, documents, and operational implementation. The choices you make remain yours.
Start a private agreement
You begin with Private Agreement Essentials, which is included, takes about 10 to 15 minutes and is recommended rather than required. Nothing is payable during it, or until your facts have been reviewed and your price confirmed.
